about the IMC

  1. 1.Is the International Math Contest only for RSM students?

    No. The International Math Contest is open to all. Share and invite as many people as you want.

  2. 2.When does the registration open?
    • Early bird registration from October 1st - October 31st, 2026
    • General registration from November 1st - December 14th, 2026
    • Additional registration (for Online option ONLY) December 15th, 2026 - January 31st, 2027
  3. 3.How much does it cost to register for IMC?
    • Early bird registration fee is $15
    • General registration fee is $25
    • Registration fee for Online option is $25
  4. 4.Is the registration fee refundable?

    No, the registration fee is not refundable.

  5. 5.What age group the IMC is created for?

    Students starting from grades 1 - 8 are welcome to participate in this challenge. The Online Option will be available only to students in grades 3 and up.

  6. 6.When does the IMC take place?
    • In Person IMC takes place on February 2nd
    • Online option of IMC takes place on February 7th
  7. 7.How long is the IMC?

    The IMC is 75 minutes long.

  8. 8.Will I get to see my score?

    The results of the IMC will be available in your dashboard at the beginning of April, 2027. We will send you an email once the results are available.

  9. 9.Where can I see the answers for the International Math Contest?

    The correct answers and solutions of the IMC 2027 problems will be part of the report which will receive all participants.

  10. 10.If I take the International Math Contest virtually, what device can I take it on?

    The Online option of IMC can be taken using a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet. To ensure the website functions properly, please make sure to use the Google Chrome browser. Mobile devices are not supported for this contest.

  11. 11.What happens if we have technical difficulties/internet problems during the online test?

    If you lose connectivity, your test will pause automatically. Once your connection is restored, you can continue where you left off.

  12. 12.What if I cannot make it to the IMC on the scheduled day? Can I take the test on another day?

    Unfortunately, you will not be able to take the test on another day. We recommend planning ahead to make sure you're available.

  13. 13.Can I find math problems from previous years to practice for the IMC?

    Yes, you can find all problems and answers from previous years in your dashboard as soon as you register or log in.

  14. 14.Do the students receive certificates and awards?

    The results of IMC will be based on percentile and students will be invited to the Awards Ceremony and will be awarded certificates and Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals accordingly. Please note that the Online participants are not eligible for the awards.

  15. 15.What is the RSM Foundation?
